Why the Blue Integrity Charter?
The world’s oceans and coasts sustain billions of lives — yet they are under threat from
overfishing, pollution, climate change, and corruption in value chains. Small and Medium
Enterprises (SMEs), which make up the backbone of the blue economy, are often locked
out of sustainable finance, markets, and compliance frameworks.
Without SMEs, the transition to a sustainable and just blue economy will fail. The Blue
Integrity Charter exists to change this.
